Snowman ☃️

Tall jolly snowman
Always flashing his big ivory smile
Eyes green marbled
Red nose pointy for miles

Lone firm snowman
Donning only a husky wool hat
Still in a snow laden land
Aloof from his own habitat

Cold charming snowman
Says he is here to stay
If I hug him long enough,
Would my warmth melt him away?

Phones Did Not

I wish I lived
When phones did not
Haunt our lives with its
Constant creepin’ and
Constant beepin’ nor
Haunt our souls urging
Constant lurking and
Constant brooding

Beings of desire without
A shred of self control are
Best left in dark than
Left pondering over
Things they could not
And should not have known

Henceforth

Twenty-eight now
And nothing to wow
Working the old job
Waiting for lunch to eat kebob
Residing at my own place
Walking at my own pace
Yet mind remains displaced

Living in a world of my make
Still making the same mistakes
Twenty-nine comes forth,
Will there be more henceforth?

Time To Say Goodbye

Before was the time
To discover your mind
To unveil your heart
To render all apart
A bird soaring in the sky
Wings open and spry

After will be the time
To regret the decline
To forgive your pain
To discern another lane
An ant carrying disproportionate weights
Muscles grapple and steady gait

Now is the time
To commit the crime
To stay strong and try
To say goodbye

Monkey Business

What if we got it all wrong

Born from the Ape

How were we led astray for so long

Violence or silence

Does it matter where we belong?

Ah that constant chatter

Drown it down with a song

Maybe life was only cut out for

Some monkey business all along.
