Gloomy Nights

Night illuminates the mind
In lonely head devil resides
All indestructible desires
And tormenting thoughts
Burning deep inside
Extinguish all happiness
Darkness swallows the light

These violent beginnings
Fall off the deep end
Day will shine bright tomorrow but
Night doesn’t let you pretend

The Meadow

Meet me at the meadow
Where we once met
On a starry night
Over the grass still wet
You looked at me
With your shining eyes
Like you could see
My tethered spirit

Meet me at the meadow
Where you promised me
That this will
Forever be

Meet me at the meadow
Where the flowers bloom
That’s the place
Where I’ll love you.

Who To Be, Who Not To Be?

photodune-873433-questionmarks-m_4

Who to be, Who not to be?
A consumed lawyer, A manipulating barrister
Fighting burdensome plights
Leading to sleepless nights
An observant writer, A lonely tale teller
Always struggling with originality
But only ending up with inanity
A workaholic manager, A ruthless entrepreneur
Overpowered by temptation only
To greet his inevitable conclusion

The choice is mine and mine alone
No matter what fate may be
Only our choices define our destiny
So the question still remains
Who to be, Who not to be?
